Alan currently performs with the Unity Clearwater Band, a
Contemporary Christian band associated with the Unity Church of
Clearwater. In this capacity, he has performed with well-known
artists, including Jana Stanfield, Karen Taylor-Good, David
Roth, Fred Bogert, Penny Nichols, Paula Hawley, Greg Tamblyn,
Richard Mekdeci, and others. At Wintersongs and Summersongs
2004, songwriter conferences in Saugerties, N.Y. (just outside
of Woodstock), Alan took classes from national label artists
including David Roth, Sloan Wainwright, and Penny Nichols.
Alan has always
loved to write and has excelled at it. As the feature editor of
his high school newspaper, he was nominated for a national award
from Columbia University. In recent years, Alan wrote a
technical article concerning plant pathology that has been
published in the U.S., Europe, and Australia. |
